I already know that FES is a joke, I registered there a couple of years ago. It is a humor similar to the Gospel of The Flying Spaghetti Monster that I own. Still, I have met enough people in real life who do believe in Noahs Arc and the world created in 7 days thing - they say we dont how long a time days referred to when the Bible was written, yet the day / night cycle was very well understood at this time. What a lot of christians do is make up pathetic reasons and excuses to defend what the Bible says, yet many of them dont seem to have read it all, like one girl I knew who didnt believe that the Bible states that witchcraft is a sin, and who used to tell me that video games are violent, but wait, what about all those threats of hellfire and being stoned to death inside the Bible? Likely they hadnt be read.
Again, all they simply do is pick and choose what parts of religion they like, and ignore the rest. People today who do not believe in evolution are the same as the people who used to think that the earth is flat.

Until we find another intelligent race in the Universe in our minds we are the most intelligent. It doesn't make us arrogant.
Nice spelling.

I HATE people who believe in Creationism.
I HATE people who try to push you into their religion.
I HATE people who criticize you for not believing in God.
Aside from that, if you are private about your beliefs, unless there is an open discussion, I'm cool with that. Just don't try to tell me that evolution didn't happen, and it's all good.

I believe in creationism AND evolution! OHSH--! How can I pull that one off?!?!?! Also I think you should join my religion, cause it rocks like that. Oh and you are stoopid for not believing in God.
So does that mean you HATE HATE HATE me?!?!
NICE!
Okay but in all honesty it is how you view evolution. If you say we evolved from chimps or whatever is evolution, that is one theory that you may choose to believe. From what I have compiled over the years from biology classes I have taken evolution to me is simply mutations that cause change over a period of time. Just my opinion and view on it. Don't like it? Fine with me.

There are actual real benefits of switching to more eastern faith system.
Mostly because they are less off control freaks. And anyone who is religion and mysticism prone is better off with buddha than with jesus. And so is their surroundings.

Be fair, Roman Catholicism also condemns homosexuality. The only thing it doesn't condemn is masturbation...oh wait, does condemn that for the most part too. Let's be honest, it only allows sex with boys.

Bzzt wrong again.
My priest even talked with us about homosexuality. He said church doesn't condemn it if two males just feel love. Love is a beautiful thing, regardless of the sex. But if they take further actions in the bed, it is a sin.
Also, masturbation isn't a sin if it's an addiction. Yeah, even my priest said it's kinda ironic - if you do it once and you are aware of what you are doing is bad, it's a sin you must confess. But you don't have to confess of addictions, as you don't have control over them and it's not a heavy/mortal sin.

Yeah, because 12-year olds should have sex without protection.
Also, Islam condemns masturbation.
Still, I agree that Buddhism, while not offering any Heaven after one life, isn't really that demanding. Except for the non-materialistic approach.

Evolution is NOT about humans evolving from chimps. This is just the dumbassed approach to countering evolution.
Evolution is about a species changing over time through beneficial genetic mutation, for which there is plenty of proof and evidence, say homo sapien skull size increases observed in fossils, people with different coloured skin with darker skin being present in hotter climates where it is beneficial, different racial features such as asian eye size and shape, yet we are all the same species.
The many variances among humans simply cannot have occured without evolutionary genetic mutations, particularly not if you want to believe that every person originated from adam and eve.
Evolution says that original man from way way way back was more primitive and closer to apes then man today, then he evolved and became more intelligent.
Of course, pre civilised cavemen and nomads were real, and yes they didnt have the intellect we have today, no language, no self made buildings to live in. No knowledge of farming or livestock breeding, just living as wild apes live today.
Then they discovered simple things like drawing on walls, making tools, clothes, fire, the wheel etc etc etc and gradually and slowly over time became increasingly clever and civilised. Brain size increased, body hair decreased, and also the backbone became straighter so we walked fully upright - very small and basic things.
This does not say that we 'came from chimps', but that we were once 'Ape - like', and slowly developed intellect and civilised living.

Then how about half of the world.
Or more, if you count theists in general.
Oh, no, I get it, sane people = people you like.
What a self-centered view of the world.

You ever heard of something called "Russell's teapot", Abedeus? Maybe you should ask your priest about it during the next sermon. Maybe you'll feel the warming rays of enlightenment.

Just because the majority of the world are theists, doesn't mean they deserve to be respected for it.
For me, religious texts have as much credibility as Toy Story, and I feel it's right for me to judge people whose life is entrenched by such flimsy foundations, stubborn beliefs and, sometimes, bigotry.
I'm not a hardcore anti-theist, however. If someone can give me undeniable proof of any god or supreme creator then I'm willing to apologise and have "I was wrong" tattooed on my forehead because I *am* open minded.
